SUMMARY
Over 30 years experience in offshore drilling as a Master Mariner. Performed over 120 rig moves without incident as the rig mover in charge. Holding senior positions as OIM, Barge Master, Rig Mover, Mooring Master, and Marine Safety Advisor for jack-up, semi-submersibles, and tender assist rigs in transit. Including ocean, field tow, and dry tow delivery by heavy lift vessel. Hands-on experience for carrying out flag state regulatory certification, inspection, and compliance according to IMO MODU class certifying authority’s procedures and requirements. Supervising all related work activity and tasks established by the rig manager and client representative for the marine and deck related projects and operations. Including, but not limited to; emergency preparedness, emergency drills, material control, vessel stability, deck maintenance and repair, equipment inspection and repair, document maintenance and compliance with applicable regulatory and certification authorities. Coordination of communications with tugs, workboats, and helicopter operations while maintaining bridge watch and rig mover’s duties. Personally authored several marine policies and procedures and towing requirements for Transocean and Seadrill Asia Drilling Co. Extensive experience and excellent knowledge of spud can repairs, with certification by US marine chemist lab to conduct gas testing and permit-to-work authorization for confined space entry and hot work in spud cans. Experience as a department leader and advocate of health, safety, and environment through team dynamics with strong commitment adherence to company and client quality safety management policy, procedures, and systems.
